Indian Railways is running special trains during Diwali and Chhath Puja from October to November this year to ensure smooth travel and convenience for passengers. Every year during the festival, the railways runs special trains. This year, the number of trains has also been increased in view of the increasing number of passengers. Among them, Western Railway is operating many extra trains as well as festive special trains.
Western Railway will operate 57 festive special trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja from Ahmedabad division from October 21 to November 10, 16 times a week. These include festival trains from Ahmedabad to Patna, Darbhanga, Danapur, Barauni, Kanpur Central, Agra Kent and Tiruchirappalli, from Gandhidham to Patna Gharpur and Bandra termini and festival special trains from Sabarmati to Patna, Sitamarhi and Haridwar. These also include Ahmedabad-Agra Kent three-week special train and Sabarmati-Haridwar bi-weekly train.
