Special train will run from Bengaluru to Mahakumbh
The South Eastern Railway has announced to run special trains during Christmas and Kumbh Mela. The trains will start running from today. South Western Railway will run a special one-way express train (06215) from Mysuru to Prayagraj for Kumbh Mela from today. Mysore-Prayagraj Kumbh Express will depart from Mysuru at 3 am today (Monday) and arrive at Prayagraj Junction on Wednesday, December 25. This special train will have 1 AC second-class carriage, 2 AC three-floor carriages, 9 sleeper carriages, 4 ordinary second-class carriages and 2 SLR carriages.

Mysore-Prayagraj Express Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, Tumkuru, Arsikere, Kadur, Chikjajur, Davanagere, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubli, Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Sangli, Karad, Pune, Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Manmad ,Bhusaval , Khandwa, Talwadia, Chanela, Kilkia, Khatta, it will pass through Banapura, Itasi, Piparia, Narsingpur, Jabalpur, Khat Ni, Mehal, Satna and Manikpur reached Prayagraj.
Special trains will also be launched in Bangalore during Christmas period
At the same time, special trains from Bengaluru to Trivandrum will also be operated during the Christmas period. The Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram North Express (06507) will depart from Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru at 11 pm on December 23 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4:30 pm the next day Lem North. As a return leg, this train (06508) will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North station at 5:55 pm on December 24 and reach Bengaluru M Visvesvaraya terminal at 11:15 am the next day. The train will stop at Krishnarajapurm, Bangarapet, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chingavanam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam and Kollam stations.
The Kumbh Mela takes place from January 13 to February 26
The Kumbh Mela is the largest public religious gathering in the world, attracting saints, sadhus, sadhus, karpavasis and pilgrims from all walks of life. Maha Kumbh Mela will be held from January 13 to February 26, 2025 in Prayagraj.
