October 17, 2024: sophia bush Has officially joined the cast “Grey’s Anatomy” for Season 21where she will depict Dr. Cass Beckmana new trauma surgeon Seattle Presbyterian Church.
Bush’s character has been described as Friendly, fun, but a bit chaoticbringing a vibrant new look to the iconic medical drama, which is set to return November 7, 2024according to reports deadline.
Dr. Cass Beckman’s marriage is David Beckmana cardiothoracic surgeon gray sloan memorial hospitalalthough David’s role is expected to be minor. This marks Bush’s first appearance in the Grey’s Anatomy universe, adding to her already impressive portfolio, which includes her famous role on Grey’s Anatomy. “One Tree Hill” and “Chicago P.D.”. Bush previously played a heart surgeon on the CBS drama “Good Sam”she also serves as executive producer.
Cast returning for the new season include Scott Speedman, Natalie Moralesand Debbie Allenhe went on to direct and serve as an executive producer on the show.
In addition to Grey’s Anatomy, Bush will reprise her fan-favorite character: Brooke Davis in a “One Tree Hill” A sequel series, currently in development Netflixwith her ex-partner Hilary Burton Morgan. Two people, together with Bethany Joy Lenzalso co-hosted “Drama Queen” Podcast where they revisit and discuss episodes of beloved teen TV series.
In addition to his television work, Bush hosts the podcast “Work in progress” and recently starred in Brian Greenberg’s directorial debut, “junction”.
