Sharad Pawar’s nephew Yugendra Pawar will contest against his uncle and chief minister Ajit Pawar as the National Communist Party (SP) candidate. Ajit Pawar has won the Baramati seat seven times. This time he is running against a member of his own family. The Pawar family also went through an internal war during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, when Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar had to face cousin Supriya Sule’s fail.
