On Rakshabandhan, brothers will be able to safely receive Rakhi from their sisters. The postal department has started a special box service in view of Rakshabandhan. Also, a special bag of special mail will be prepared for Rakshabandhan. With the help of which Rakhi will be received safely and on time. During the rainy season, the sisters’ Rakhi will remain safe in the postal department’s box and envelope.

Rakshabandhan is a festival of brothers and sisters. On this occasion, sister ties Rakhi to her brother. The sister who lives away from her brother or is unable to reach him, sends Rakhi to her brother. Rakshabandhan is on 19th August this year. Generally, brothers are not able to receive Rakhi on time through normal post. Even if it is found, Rakhi gets spoiled during the rainy season. In such a situation, the Postal Department has started special envelope and box service on Rakshabandhan.

The envelopes have been prepared in a special way. Rain water does not enter the envelope. In such a situation Rakhi does not get spoiled. At the same time, the sister can keep sweets and other items along with Rakhi in the box and send it to the brother. Boxes and envelopes are available at all post offices and sub post offices of the country including Alwar.

Ram Khiladi, Head Post Master of Alwar Head Post Office, said that the charge for the box is Rs 30. Apart from this, a charge of Rs 15 will have to be paid for a big envelope and Rs 10 for a small envelope. Apart from this, the weight of envelope and box and postage charges will have to be determined separately according to distance and weight.

Head Post Master said that for the special post of Rakhi, separate special bags are prepared in the post office every day and that bag is sent separately in a safe manner. So that brothers can get Rakhi in time before Rakshabandhan. Also, Rakhi can reach the brothers safely.

He said that the box has been launched for the first time by the Postal Department. Apart from Rakhi, sisters can also keep sweets, chocolates and other items in the box and send it to their brothers.
