October 21, 2024: Shraddha Kapoor gloats about success 2nd StreetRecently, she shared insights about her rising salary and her father Shakti Kapoor’s struggles in Bollywood. Looking back on his career and his father’s journey, Shraddha expresses immense gratitude for the path he has carved.
Talking about her personal and professional life, she candidly said: “I still live with my parents and my pets… and for me, it’s been amazing. My journey in the film industry has been amazing, I feel very lucky. My parents have seen me through ups and downs, but I firmly believe that failure is necessary for success and I am grateful for my support system, considering so many people have dreamed of this. Life, I realize how lucky I am.”
Shraddha also recounted her father’s humble beginnings, explaining how his story continues to inspire her. “My father comes from a non-film family. His journey from Delhi to Mumbai was incredible. He worked in a travel agency but always dreamed of becoming an actor. He boarded a train to Mumbai and the next thing It’s history. His journey reminds me to stay grounded as he literally built his career from the ground up.”
Discussing her career and the growing film industry, Shraddha revealed that she is earning more now than when she started 14 years ago. “My income has definitely increased, but the issue of pay equity is still there, although I feel like it’s slowly changing,” she noted. When asked about the increase in actors’ pay, Shraddha said: “Ultimately it is the producers who take the decision. Their vision for the project drives the decision-making and some have a clear long-term view of where the industry is going. No. A unified approach that everyone follows.”
