Muslim welfare organizations have approached the district court challenging the decision of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s Court.

The Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s Court has issued this order

Earlier, the Municipal Commissioner Court ordered the demolition of the upper three floors of the mosque within two months, based on an affidavit from the Sanjali Masjid Committee. Muslim welfare groups have approached the district court against the decision. The case regarding Sanjauli Masjid is pending before the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s Court and the next hearing will be held on December 6.

Muslim parties can challenge the order in the High Court

Vishwa Bhushan, counsel for the petitioner All Himachal Muslim Welfare Organization, said the court had dismissed their petition. On challenging the matter in the high court, Vishwa Bhushan said he would take a decision after reading the order. Vishya Bhushan said he had challenged the Sanjali Masjid Committee and committee chairman Mohammad Latif’s qualifications to provide the affidavit in court.

This information was provided by Sanjauli Masjid Committee Chairman

Mohammad Latif, chairman of Sanjauli Masjid Committee, said the court dismissed the petition of the Muslim welfare organization. Now, the municipal corporation commissioner’s decision regarding Sanjauli Masjid will remain unchanged. Latif said the work of demolishing the roof above the mosque and the temple has been completed. In addition, due to a lack of labor, the work of dismantling the illegal parts of the mosque will not be completed until March.

Meanwhile, local resident lawyer Jagat Pal welcomed the district court’s ruling. He said throughout the incident, the High Court had ordered that the matter should be resolved as soon as possible. In this case, he expressed hope that the municipal corporation would take a final decision on the matter.
