Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra’s problems increase, Education Department issues summons to find out about the matter

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned businessman Raj Kundra for questioning on December 4 in a money laundering case related to the alleged illegal distribution of pornographic films. According to official sources, Kundera was earlier asked to appear in court on Monday but he requested a new date after which he was asked to appear in court on December 4.

In the ED investigation, the case was registered against Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra and his associates. The investigation relates to a money laundering case registered in May 2022, in which action was taken against Kundra and others based on two FIRs and chargesheets filed by Mumbai Police. On December 29, the ED raided the residences of Kundra and his associates in various cities including Mumbai and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh.

Another businessman was also summoned

In addition, according to sources, apart from Kundra, another businessman from Uttar Pradesh was also summoned on December 4, while actress Gehana Vashishtha was asked to Testify in court on December 9. Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty had previously been charged with illegal production and distribution of pornography. However, Kundera claimed last week that he was cooperating fully with the investigation and that there was no concrete evidence against him. Kundera also said he was wrongly implicated and that he was being made a scapegoat in the case.

ED seizes properties worth Rs 98 crore

Cases are already underway against some of those released on bail, some of whom were arrested earlier. Apart from this, ED had also attached assets worth Rs 98 crore of Kundra and Shetty earlier this year, but the Bombay High Court granted relief against this order. Investigations by the ED and Mumbai Police are currently trying to clarify what illegal activities were carried out by Kundra and his associates in manufacturing and distributing pornographic material and whether money laundering related to these activities can be uncovered.
