Sajib Wajed, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, says that this was his mother’s last tenure. She recently became the Prime Minister of the country for the fifth time and fourth consecutive time. He said that now there is no law and order in Bangladesh and Awami League people are being killed. Jamaat and BNP are behind this unrest. He said that Bangladesh can now go on the path of Afghanistan.
Speaking to India Today, former PM Hasina’s son Wajed said, “I spoke to her (mother Sheikh Hasina) yesterday. My phone is ringing continuously, so I have not got a chance to call her since then. She is fine. But he is disappointed that he did so much for Bangladesh and yet people turned against him.

Made a successful country from a failed country!
Sajib Wajed said about his mother’s tenure, “She changed the country from a poor country, a failed country, a corrupt country to a successful country. She has improved the lives of the people. We have worked very hard to develop our country.” She (mother) told me that this was going to be her last term and she is 77 years old now.
Sheikh Hasina has not sought asylum at present and her son also says that the news going on about her asylum is wrong. He told that Hasina has not sought asylum from any country. He has not taken any such decision. This is for them to decide. She can come to meet her grandchildren in different countries. Our entire family lives abroad. In such a situation, the news of his seeking asylum is a rumour.”
The government had fulfilled the demands of the protesters
Regarding the worsening situation in Bangladesh, Sajib Wajed said, “No one had expected this. No one had thought that the students and the militants behind them would become so violent. We had fulfilled all the demands of the protesters, so we had to Didn’t understand nor expected. “My grandfather’s house was burnt down.”
Sajib Wajed said, “The police have given up. They have abandoned the job. The houses of all our ministers have been burnt. Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, my grandfather’s house which is now a museum, where I was killed in the 1975 coup. Entire families have been burnt. Our Parliament members are being attacked and killed.”
