SDM’s peon caught red handed taking bribe in Amethi, anti-corruption team took him away from the office

In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, the SDM’s peon demanded bribe from the complainant in the name of getting the stay order in a land dispute dismissed. The complainant informed the anti-corruption team about this. Anti-corruption made a plan to catch the peon red-handed. The peon got trapped in this plan and was arrested on the spot.

The anti-corruption team caught the SDM’s peon red-handed while taking money. Then they took the peon to the local police station. After this, they took him to Ayodhya and registered a case and started further proceedings. This incident created a stir in the tehsil.

The whole matter is of Amethi Sadar Tehsil, where Peshkar Ashok Kumar Srivastava, working in the SDM’s court, was preparing to file a case for hearing. Then suddenly the Vigilance team (Anti Corruption) from Ayodhya caught Peshkar Ashok red handed while taking money from complainant Ravikant Pal. After which the Vigilance team took the Peshkar with them. This created a stir in the Tehsil premises.

Peshkar Ashok, who works in SDM court, was demanding a huge amount in the name of cancelling the stay on the land of complainant Ravikant Pal. However, the matter was settled for 15 thousand. On the other hand, Ravikant went to Ayodhya and told the entire matter to the officials of the vigilance team. Yesterday, along with the officials, complainant Ravikant reached the tehsil and gave 5 thousand rupees in cash to the Peshkar. Then the vigilance team caught the Peshkar red handed.

In this case, Tehsil’s sub-district magistrate Ashish Kumar Singh said that we had no information about the money transaction in the land dispute. The vigilance team had come. They have arrested the peon working in our court.

Ravikant told that it was a land dispute. There was mutual division. Even after that the neighbor filed a case. Due to the stay, the work on our house was stopped. After which I met the peon and he said that if I give 15 thousand rupees, the work will be done. I complained about this to the anti-corruption team. The team caught the peon red-handed while taking money.
