Jerusalem:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday completed his plans to recognize a Palestinian kingdom in French President Emmanuel Macron.
Netanyahu said in a statement, “President Macron is constantly wrong to promote the idea of a Palestinian state in the heart of our land – a state whose only aspiration is the destruction of Israel.”
He was addressing Macron’s comment earlier this week, stating that France could identify a Palestinian kingdom within months.
Netanyahu, under the leadership of Hamas on Israel, referred to the October 7, 2023 attack, saying, “Aaj Tak, a single person in the Hamas or Palestinian Authority has condemned the horrors of the worst massacre of the Jews since the Holocost.”
He described it as “a silence” that reveals his true attitude towards the Jewish kingdom.
“We won’t endanger our existence on the confusion separated from reality, and we will not accept the moral lectures about the establishment of a Palestinian kingdom, which will endanger the existence of Israel – especially not those who oppose freedom, new Calledonia, French Guiana and other areas, which will not have any threat to freedom.”
His comment echoed his son Yire, who hit Macron in the earlier post on X.
“screw you!” Yare Netanyahu wrote late in English on Saturday.
“Yes for the freedom of New Calledonia! Yes for French Polynesia yes! Yes for the freedom of Corsica! Basque for the country’s independence yes! He said, apparently confused it with French Guana.
‘Valid rights’
Macron said in an interview in France 5 Broadcasting on Wednesday that France could take steps during a United Nations Conference in New York in June, saying he hopes that it would trigger Israel’s mutual recognition by Arab countries.
“We should move towards recognition, and we will do so in the coming months,” Macron said.
“I will do this because I believe it will be right at some point and because I want to participate in a collective dynamic, who should also allow all those who defend Palestine who is to identify Israel in turn, which many of them do not do so.”
His remarks provoked a wave of criticism from right -wing groups in France, after which Macron appeared on Friday clarifying her initial comments.
He said on X, “I support the valid rights of Palestinians for a state and peace, such as I support Israeli’s peace and the right to live in security, both are recognized by their neighbors,” they said on X.
“I am doing everything with my colleagues to reach this goal of peace. We really need it,” he said.
In recent months, relations between Israel and France have deteriorated.
France has long made the two-state solution champion for the Israeli-Pilstinian conflict, including an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 by Palestinian Group Hamas.
But the formal recognition by Paris of a Palestinian state will mark a major policy switch and mark the risk opposing Israel, which insists that such steps by foreign states are prematurely.
France would be the most important European power to recognize a Palestinian state, a step by the United States has also long opposed. Hamas welcomed Macron’s statement.
About 150 countries recognize a Palestinian state.
In the last May, Ireland, Norway and Spain declared recognition, followed by Slovenia, Israeli’s Gaza bombardment, partially moved to fuel, which occurred on Israel after the attacks of Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023 Hamas.
