Sawan Pradosh Vrat 2024: Pradosh fast is observed on Trayodashi date of every month. But the glory of Pradosh Vrat in Sawan is different. Today is the first Pradosh fast of Sawan month. In the scriptures, it has been described as the day to get the special blessings of Lord Shiva. It is said that by worshiping Mahadev during Pradosh Vrat falling in Sawan, a person gets the desired results. During Pradosh Vrat, Lord Shiva is worshiped in the evening 45 minutes before sunset and 45 minutes after sunset.

During the Sawan Pradosh fast, the auspicious time for worship today will be from 7:11 pm to 9:18 pm. Worship Lord Shiva during this period. Chant his mantras and give donations to the needy and the poor.
Method of worship of Sawan Pradosh fast
On the auspicious occasion of Pradosh fast before Sawan, wake up early in the morning and take bath and wear white or yellow clothes. Avoid wearing black colored clothes on this day. On this day, Ganga water has to be sprinkled in the entire house. Go to Shiva temple and anoint Lord Shiva with milk, curd and Panchamrit. After that apply tilak to Lord Shiva with yellow or white sandalwood. Offer hemp, Dhatura and Belpatra to Lord Shiva and worship Lord Shiva by offering flowers to him. Along with this, you also have to chant Om Namah Shivay mantra. One has to meditate on Mother Parvati also.
Remedies for Pradosh Vrat
1. Profit in business– Mix yellow mustard seeds, sesame seeds, whole salt and whole coriander in three earthen lamps and keep them at your business place. This will start increasing business.
2. Success in studies- Take out the seeds of red chilli and mix them in water. Offer this water to the Sun at any time of the day. You will get relief from the problem of depression.
3. Happiness and peace in the family- On this day, offer curd and honey mixed to Mahadev. It is believed that by doing this the troubles in family life go away.
4. Victory over enemies- Shami leaves cleaned with Ganga water should be offered to Lord Shiva. Also sit there and chant ‘Om Namah Shivay’.
