On this day, take bath in the morning and wear white clothes. After this, offer water and Bel leaves to Lord Shiva. Offer them white things. Chant the Shiva mantra “Namah Shivay”. Even at night, light a ghee lamp in front of Lord Shiva and chant Shiva mantra. It is best to consume water and fruits on this day. Do not consume salt and grains at all.
