World’s richest man Elon Musk takes on Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Tesla boss takes on OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on US President Donald Trump’s $500 billion announcement for artificial intelligence responded to the statement that the project was in dispute.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was asked about the investment value of Stargate after Elon Musk claimed there was no funding for the new project.
“I don’t know much about the details of their investment,” Nadella said of Stargate in an interview with CNBC.
“Look, all I know is I’m happy with my $80 billion,” he added.
Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence Initiative
On January 3, Microsoft announced that it would invest nearly $80 billion in building artificial intelligence data centers in fiscal year 2025 to train artificial intelligence models and deploy artificial intelligence and cloud-based applications globally. More than half of the total investment will be in the United States.
Elon Musk responds
After Nadella’s statement, Musk wrote on X: “Satya, on the other hand, is definitely rich.”
Elon Musk questions Stargate project
The Microsoft CEO’s comments come after the SpaceX founder questioned funding for the Stargate project announced by the US president, claiming that expected investment funds have not yet been received.
“They literally have no money,” Musk wrote on X
“SoftBank’s guarantee amount is well below $10B. I have full authority,” he added.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman responded to Elon Musk’s claims: “It’s wrong and you know it.”
He also invited Musk to visit the project’s first site in Texas, which is under construction.
“It’s good for the country. I realize what’s good for the country isn’t always what’s best for your company, but in your new role, I hope you’ll put (America) first,” Ott Mann wrote on X.
