Sarwan Singh Pandher said the ‘Railway Roko’ movement of farmers in Punjab today is gearing up for a bigger movement in the future.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandel

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher told the media that all farmers will stop trains in Punjab from 12 noon to 3 pm today. He said he will stay at Devi Daspura in Amritsar and participate in the Railway Roko protest. Pandel said that we invite all Punjabis to participate in ‘Rail Roko’. Farmers will be present at all railway crossings and railway stations. In addition, many singers like Guru Randhawa also supported the farmers’ protests. Farmers have announced the ‘Rail Roko’ movement.

There is no track passing through Punjab that is not blocked. Will clog almost any track. Like they will block the track to Delhi, main line to Jammu and Kashmir, Malwa track etc. He said farmers of Himachal Pradesh’s Nanjal Dam will also organize for these projects. We will block railway tracks in all states adjacent to Punjab, including Rajasthan, Haryana.

The chief minister has time to attend rallies

The Chief Minister of Punjab will campaign today. He had time to go to rallies but not to talk about issues related to farmers. This is a question worth thinking about. He took a jibe at the Punjab Chief Minister and said that if the Chief Minister wanted, he could use the 94 MLAs to put some pressure on the government.

Farmer leaders say about 50 migrant workers commit suicide every day. The report said that as farmers did not receive MSP, the loss was about Rs 1,500 crore in 2022 and Rs 850 crore in 2023. We are preparing for bigger protests in the future as the farmers’ issues are yet to be resolved. We will announce this today or tomorrow as well. Almost all tracks passing through Punjab will be blocked during the ‘Rail Roko’ movement.
