By-elections for nine seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly are underway, and the poster war for the 2027 elections is intensifying. On the birthday of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, posters of Ruling Twenty-Seven were put up outside the party office and now workers of the Nishad Party, including the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), called their leader The ruler of twenty-seven is Sanjay Nishad. The posters, in which Dr Sanjay Nishad was described as the “leader of the twenty-seven”, were put up outside the Janata Dal headquarters in Lucknow.
This hoarding behavior remains a topic of discussion. Nishad’s party is demanding two seats in the by-elections. Nishad Party is demanding Majhivan seat in Mirzapur district and Kaitri seat in Ambedkar Nagar. The party has fielded candidates from both seats in the 2022 elections. The BJP did not give any seat to Nishad’s party. After the Hoarding Party, the Nishad Party, which has now been eliminated in the by-elections, has also joined the ranks of the Hoarding Party, adding to the political uproar. What attracted the most attention was its installation outside the state headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Nishad Party, the BJP’s ally in the NDA, also placed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Home Minister Amit Shah on one side of the billboard and photos of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. On the other hand, pictures of UP BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary, deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were also displayed on the same board. Nishad Party national spokesperson Ajay Singh’s picture also appears on the signage. Judging from the billboard, it appears that it was installed by Ajay Singh or one of his supporters.

Jai Nishad Raj-Jai Shri Ram is also written on the hoarding. The hoardings were erected as by-elections were held in nine United Party seats. Of the 9 seats where by-elections are ongoing, Nishad Party has fielded candidates in 2 seats in the 2022 elections. However, the party lost in both seats. The BJP has left the Meerapur seat to its ally RLD, but despite camping in Delhi, Sanjay Nishad had to return to Lucknow empty-handed. Since then, there has been talk of discord between the BJP and the Sanjay Nishad-led party.

Such hoardings outside the BJP offices are also linked to the strategy of sending an “all is well” message between the two parties. The Nishad Party’s base in Majhwan and Katehari is also considered strong. In this case, resentful news should not cause any harm, and hoarding is said to reduce the possibility of such harm to zero.
