Samsung may soon launch a tri-foldable smartphone. The Korean company has been preparing a new foldable phone for a long time. This new foldable phone from the Korean company that dominates the foldable smartphone market will be different from Huawei’s triple foldable phone, the Mate XT Ultimate, in many ways. Patent approved
Samsung has been preparing its tri-fold smartphone for a long time. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has accepted Samsung’s patent for this phone. The company applied for a patent for this phone almost 3 years ago, in 2021, and it has now been approved on November 5, 2024. The phone will be based on flexible corporate factors. In the patent, the company defines three display areas for its phone.
The upper part of the phone after it is folded three times is defined as the static display. At the same time, when the phone is folded, both closed screens will not work. Once the phone is unfolded, the two screens transform into one large screen. At the same time, with all three folds open, the phone will work like a tablet. According to the patent, it will have two hinges with the help of which the phone screen can be folded.
Samsung’s foldable smartphone will also support the Galaxy S-Pen. The company can provide multiple input modes in it with the help of which multitasking can be done on the screen of the device. However, there is no information about the display size of Samsung’s triple folding phone or what processor it is equipped with.
Huawei’s triple folding phone
The design of the phone will be similar to the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate triple folding phone. Not only that, the ruggedness factor of this phone will also look like a Huawei phone. No information has been revealed about any technical features of the phone. The Huawei phone comes with a 6.40-inch main display. At the same time, the display size of the mobile phone after it is folded is 10.2 inches. This flexible display is made from LTPO OLED panels. This type of display can also be used on Samsung phones.
