According to Smartprix, the Samsung Galaxy A56 has appeared in the IMEI database with the model number SM-A566B/DS. It is worth noting that the model number of the Galaxy A55 is SM-A556B/DS.
In March this year, the Galaxy A55 was equipped with Samsung’s self-developed Exynos 1480 chipset. Based on this, the publication hints that the Exynos 1580 chipset will debut with the upcoming Galaxy A56. This mid-range chipset, codenamed “Santa”, may be as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 SoC. It may use a three-cluster CPU architecture and will bring a more significant performance upgrade over the Exynos 1480.
Exynos 1580 was recently spotted on the Geekbench platform with model number S5E8855. It has a main CPU core with a maximum frequency of 2.91GHz, a triple-core with a maximum frequency of 2.6GHz, and a quad-core with a frequency of 1.95GHz. The chipset scored 1,046 points in the single-core test and 3,678 points in the multi-core test.
Like the Galaxy A55 5G, the Galaxy A56 is expected to be officially launched in the first quarter of next year (probably March).
