Samosa Controversy: When CM won’t eat Sukhu, then who is the samosa coming for and why investigation is on to know the whole thing

The samosa controversy is heating up in Himachal Pradesh. When the BJP claimed that someone ate CM Sukhu’s samosas, the Himachal Pradesh government launched a CBI probe. Officials associated with the government have since said that no CBI probe has been set up. CID also said that this is their internal matter and no one else should be involved. Finally, CM Sukhu said in an interview that he does not eat samosas at all. In this case, the question is who the samosas are for and why the fuss happened. Let us understand the whole thing.

CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu attended the CID program as the chief guest. For this event held at the CID headquarters, we ordered three boxes of samosas and cakes from the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lakkar Bazaar. However, the snacks did not reach the CM but were given to the security team. The matter, which was investigated by a deputy police officer, was termed an “anti-government act” and caused an uproar.

What did the BJP say?

Taking a dig at the state government over the samosas and cakes controversy, BJP spokesperson Chetan Bragta said if a CID probe can be initiated in the absence of receipt of samosas, then Himachal Pradesh It’s clear what the priorities are for the government. He said there are many other big problems in Himachal Pradesh at present, but the Himachal Pradesh government’s focus is only on food issues. If the samosas are not found, the CID will ask. Not only that, this incident was also described as an anti-government incident. Development work has been at a standstill in Himachal Pradesh for the past two years without the state government paying any attention to it. In this situation, the Himachal Pradesh government and the Chief Minister should put aside such petty matters and focus on development work.

CID cleaning

Regarding the Samosa probe controversy, CID Director Sanjeev Ranjan Ojha said that this is an internal matter of the CID. The interim investigative report went viral online and attracted people’s attention. No notices were issued to any employees. The politicization of this matter is unfortunate. An internal investigation report by the Criminal Investigation Department found that the job of bringing samosas to the chief minister was given to an SI, who in turn handed the job over to his junior staff. Later the samosas and cakes arrived but due to a misunderstanding they were handed out to the security team. The truth came to light at the end of the program when an official asked what happened to the goods ordered.

Statement from the Leader of the Opposition

Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur said on the samosas incident, how did samosas become an anti-government act? Opposition people don’t eat samosas. The government’s vast machinery is busy tracking down samosa eaters. Anarchy and corruption are at their peak in the state at all levels.

CM Media Advisor Statement

CM Sukhu’s media adviser Naresh Chauhan said the government has not ordered any such inquiry. The government has nothing to do with this. This is an internal matter of the CID department and they are investigating the matter at their own level. Everyone knows that the Chief Minister does not eat food from outside. In this case, it is just a conspiracy to defame the government. The BJP leaders are taking the matter unnecessarily seriously. Since the BJP does not have any issue, it is wrong for it to oppose the Congress government through this issue.

Who are samosas for and why are they causing such a fuss?

He doesn’t eat outside food, according to his chief media adviser. In this case, samosas and cakes were ordered for other officials involved in the program. Now if a security guard ate the officers’ breakfast, there would be an uproar. This was investigated and termed as an anti-government act. However, the opposition has given it a different colour, and now the CM too must come up with a clarification.
