Sambal violence: From Rahul Gandhi to Owaisi and Chandrashekhar surround Uttar Pradesh police… know what they say

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi blamed the BJP for the violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhar. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi also surrounded the Uttar Pradesh police. Posting on social media handles I offer my deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones to violence and shootings. The government’s callous and insensitive actions without listening to all sides worsened the situation and led to many deaths – for which the BJP government is directly responsible.

On November 24, violence broke out during an investigation at the Shahi Masjid in Sambhar, Uttar Pradesh. The violence was very violent, killing 5 people and injuring more than 30 people. The SDM and police were among the injured. In fact, the Hindu side is talking about the Shahi Masjid saying that there was once a Harihar temple here. An investigation is underway and violence ensued.

Rahul Gandhi takes aim at BJP

Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP’s use of power to create rifts and discrimination between Hindu and Muslim societies is neither in the national interest nor in the national interest. Request the Supreme Court to intervene in this matter as soon as possible and provide justice. My appeal is to maintain peace and mutual harmony. We all must work together to ensure that India moves forward along the path of unity and the Constitution rather than regionalism and hatred.

Owaisi demands strict action

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi asked the House to hold a discussion on the Sambaha violence. Owaisi has issued a stop-work notice. Regarding the violence, Owaisi said that the violence had led to a serious situation and four people had died. He said there was a need to understand the reasons behind the violence and take strict action against the culprits. Owaisi hopes the government will clarify the matter and take legal action against the culprits as soon as possible.

Owaisi also posted that we strongly condemn the Uttar Pradesh police firing on people protesting peacefully in Sambal. Three young people were killed in police firing. He further said that the accident should be investigated impartially and action should be taken against those responsible.

Chandrashekhar Azad raised the matter in Parliament

Congress MP and LDF national president Chandrashekhar Azad demanded an inquiry into the Sambhar violence. He said the Sambal riots should be investigated by the Supreme Court. He further said that I raised the Sambhal issue in the Parliament and the House was adjourned but we will raise the issue again. Chandrashekhar Azad also said, “I am going to Sambhar to meet the families of the victims.”

Dated November 24, 2024, the investigation was conducted at the Royal Mosque of Sambal. A survey of the mosque was carried out in the morning after Hindu groups claimed it was a Harihar temple. The investigation went smoothly for two hours before a crowd gathered outside the mosque and the peaceful atmosphere turned violent.

After that, things got very bad and caused a huge uproar. The gangsters set fire to vehicles, threw rocks at police and there were shootings. Police also resorted to lathi charges and fired tear gas shells to control the situation. Five people died in the violence. Internet service has been stopped in the area due to security concerns. Schools are closed. The police are out. In addition, the government has banned outsiders, social organizations and public representatives from entering the area until December 1.
