November 8, 2024: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is under threat again, this time over a song that reportedly links his name to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The threat was sent to Mumbai’s traffic control room around midnight on Thursday, raising new security concerns for the actor who has faced multiple threats in recent months.

The message cited a song purportedly containing the names of Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi, warning the songwriters responsible would face severe consequences within a month. The message ominously read: “The songwriter’s condition will make it impossible for him to compose songs anymore. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should protect them.”

This latest threat adds to a host of security concerns related to Lawrence Bishnoi and his network. Bishnoi has a history of animosity toward Khan, having previously targeted Khan over dissatisfaction over the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, a sensitive issue for the Bishnoi community.

In a related development, a 32-year-old man named Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, was recently arrested in Haveli, Karnataka, for having previously threatened Khan. Bhikha Ram, who hails from Rajasthan, was handed over to the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for questioning. During the interrogation, Bika Ram reportedly expressed his admiration for Lawrence Bishnoi, whom he considered his “idol”. He allegedly planned to demand a ransom of Rs 5 crore to build a temple for the Bishnoi community.
In a separate case, Mumbai police are investigating death threats and extortion demands of Rs 50 lakh against actor Shah Rukh Khan. The call was made to the Bandra police and was traced and registered in the name of Raipur lawyer Faizan Khan. Faizan reported his phone stolen on Nov. 2 and believed he was being used in a larger conspiracy.
Faizan Khan had previously taken issue with Shah Rukh Khan’s lines in the 1994 film anjam There was a reference to deer hunting – a highly sensitive topic for the Bishnoi community. He was questioned by Mumbai police in Raipur on Thursday as part of the ongoing investigation.
The escalating threats against Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan highlight the growing security challenges faced by Bollywood stars, especially when it comes to sensitive issues that stir up strong emotions.
