October 13, 2024: NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiq died on Saturday night (October 12, 2024) after he was shot dead by three assailants in Bandra East, Mumbai. The incident took place outside the office of his son MLA Zeeshan Siddique in Nirmal Nagar near Colgate Stadium. Although he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, the 66-year-old politician succumbed to his injuries. Mumbai police arrested two suspects in connection with the attack, which sent shockwaves through political and Bollywood circles.
