The line-up includes classics such as Yager(1948), Barsat(1949), Avala(1951), Shree 420 (1955), Sangam(1964), Mera Naam Clown(1970)and Ram Terry Ganga Maili (1985). Each film reflects Raj Kapoor’s profound influence on Indian cinema.
Tributes beyond the holidays
Saif and Ranbir had earlier met the Kapoor family Prime Minister Narendra Modiinviting him to the festival and discuss Raj Kapoor’s enduring legacy. The move is a testament to the late actor-director’s crucial contribution to Indian cinema.
