Safety-security guidelines and compensation should be fixed… Delhi coaching accident case reaches High Court

Three students lost their lives in the water filled basement of the coaching center in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, after which this matter is continuously gaining momentum. After the accident that took place late on Saturday evening, there were protests in the capital throughout the day on Sunday. ABVP raised slogans loudly. At the same time, Rashtriya Pravasi Manch has filed a PIL in the Delhi High Court on the incident of death of students due to water logging.

Both the accused were sent to judicial custody for 14 days
In the petition, a demand has been made to make guidelines regarding the safety of students and to give appropriate compensation in case of an accident. On the other hand, both the accused made accused in this case have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

National Overseas Forum filed petition
Rashtriya Pravasi Manch has filed a PIL in the Delhi High Court on the incident of death of students due to water logging in IAS coaching located in Old Rajendra Nagar of the capital Delhi. On Monday, a request will be made to the High Court that the court should immediately hear the petition filed on this serious issue. The petition demands safety and security of the students and compensation to the victim’s family.

Demand to make security guidelines and give compensation
The petitioner has made Delhi Government, MCD and Rao IAS as parties in this PIL. In the petition, a demand has been made to investigate this incident under the supervision of a retired judge of the High Court and to make guidelines for the safety of students coming from other states. A demand has been made to give instructions to give appropriate compensation in case of death of students coming from other states in any accident.

MCD in action in Rajendra Nagar
After the accident in Old Rajendra Nagar, MCD now seems to be active here. Actually, there was a library in the basement of the coaching centre, regarding which the MCD is under question. Meanwhile, after this matter came to light, the MCD team arrived on Sunday to seal the illegal basements of many coaching centres. On the orders of Mayor Shaili Oberoi, the MCD team reached many coaching institutes and investigated.
