Russia-Ukraine war: Russia launches deadly attack on Ukrainian residential area, 12 killed

Kyiv: The war between Russia and Ukraine continues. At the same time, Russia has stepped up its attacks on Ukraine in recent days. Russia has carried out air strikes on residential areas in Ukraine for the third time in the past three days. Twelve people, including a child, were killed in the latest attacks in Russia. A drone strike in the Sumy region injured 11 people, including two children, Ukrainian rescue service officials said on Tuesday. He expressed concern that more people may be trapped under the rubble.

Russia is a persistent attacker

Russian drones struck a dormitory at an educational institution in the city of Lushiv early on Tuesday, local authorities said. Earlier on Sunday, Russia launched a ballistic missile armed with cluster weapons into a residential area in the Sumy region of northern Ukraine, killing 11 people and injuring 84 others.

A Russian missile strike sparked an apartment fire in the southern port city of Odessa on Monday, killing at least 10 people and injuring 43 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the continued air strikes proved Russian President Vladimir Putin had no intention of ending the war.

Russia is not interested in restoring peace

Zelensky said: “Every new attack by Russia confirms Putin’s true intentions. He wants the war to continue. He has no interest in restoring peace. We must force Russia to achieve a just peace.” (Language)
