Kyiv: Russia carried out night attacks and launched 188 drones across much of Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force provided this information on Tuesday. The Air Force said a record number of drones were used in a single strike. Most of the drones were destroyed, but the attacks caused damage to critical infrastructure such as apartment buildings and the national power grid, according to the Air Force. Seventeen districts were targeted in these attacks. However, there is no information on any casualties yet.

Russia has been attacking civilian areas in Ukraine with drones, missiles and glide bombs since the middle of this year. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that its security forces destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones overnight on Russian territory near the Ukrainian border. The air raid warning in the Kiev area lasted for more than seven hours overnight.
