Russia says that Arthur Petrov freed us in prisoner swap

Russia’s FSB Security Service said on Thursday that Arthur Petrov, who was facing 20 years in the US jail for violating export control, was released in exchange for Ballet Dancer Kessenia Kalelina.

US President Donald Trump came to office in January since the prisoner exchange is the second and was called for coordination with Russia.

The security service said in a statement, “Petrov was exchanged for American citizen Kesenia Karelina, who also has Russian citizenship, was sentenced to 12 years in jail for treason.”

FSB released a video, allegedly shown an exchange at an Abu Dhabi airport, in which about a dozen people were in a suit, their faces blurred, the prisoner’s exchange.

Petrov said he was feeling “not bad” on the video, but was very tired after a hard flight and not sleeping for two days.

Kremlin refused to comment.

Russian and German National, 33 -year -old Arthur Petrov was arrested in 2023 in Cyprus and was later extradited to the United States for demanding American -made electronics export for military use.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) said that Petrov demanded to purchase microcontroller and integrated circuits, while knowing that they could not be lawed up to Russia.

The United States and its allies imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia as President Vladimir Putin gave a military aggressive order on Western Ukraine.
