Ever since Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan’s show ‘Barzakh’ was streamed, its bold content has created a stir in neighboring country Pakistan. Be it the intimate scenes of Barzakh or the romance shown between a gay couple, they have stunned the Pakistani people.

People of Pakistan trolled this show fiercely on social media. Not only the public but also big film personalities were involved in this. Fawad and Sanam were also trolled for signing such a show.

The show closed in Pakistan

In view of the continuous criticism, now the team of Zindagi Channel and Barzakh has taken a big decision. Zee Zindagi channel has announced on its Insta account to remove the show Bajrakh from Pakistani YouTube.

The statement reads – The team of Zindagi and Barzakh wholeheartedly thanks the audiences across the world who have given unwavering support to the show. This show was made with the aim of bringing people together. But considering the sentiments of the people of Pakistan, we have decided to remove Barzakh from YouTube Pakistan from 9 August 2024. This decision has been taken to show our dedication towards the people without any separation.

Pakistani people trolled

After the show was removed from the Pakistani platform, reactions from users have also started coming. People have raised questions on the content of Pakistani drama shows. Where domestic violence is heavily glorified. Users say why do people take fictional shows so personally? Many people also believe that even though the show has been banned from Pakistani platforms, people will still watch Barzakh secretly and react.

Fawad-Sanam came together after 12 years
So far 6 episodes of Barzakh have been streamed. There has been so much hue and cry over this. This show has been directed by Asim Abbasi. In the recent episode, intimacy between a gay couple was shown. The people of Pakistan had objected to this. The makers were accused of hurting the culture and sentiments of the country.

Through this show, Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed came together on screen after 12 years. Even though ‘Barzakh’ can no longer be seen in Pakistan, the Indian audience can watch the show like before.
