Kohli will play domestic cricket after 12 years and Rohit after 8 years

The first match of this test series will be held on 19 September in Chennai. Before this, the Indian team has a break of about 43 days. In such a situation, Gambhir issued another order and said that all the star players including seniors will have to play domestic cricket.

In such a situation, Kohli and Rohit will also have to follow this order. He can be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy to be held in September. This tournament will be played from 5th September. If Kohli and Rohit play in this tournament then they will be seen playing domestic cricket after a long time. Kohli will enter domestic cricket after 12 years and Rohit after 8 years.

Kohli played his last home match in 2012

Virat Kohli played his last domestic cricket on 2-5 November 2012. This Ranji match took place between Delhi and UP. Playing for Delhi under the captaincy of Virender Sehwag, Kohli scored 14 runs in 19 balls in the first innings of that match, playing at number four. After this, in the second innings he scored 43 runs on 65 balls at number three. UP won this match by 6 wickets.

Kohli has played 417 matches in international cricket since 5 November 2012 till now (12 August). There have been 103 Tests, 205 ODIs and 109 T20 matches. During this period, Kohli scored a total of 65 centuries in international cricket and his best score was 254 not out.

Rohit played under Gambhir’s captaincy for the last time

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma played his last domestic cricket match on 10-14 September 2016. This match was played between India Blue and India Red under Duleep Trophy. Rohit played for India Blue under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. He came at number four in the first innings and scored 30 runs in 57 balls. Whereas in the second innings he scored 32 runs on 75 balls at number three. India Blue won this match by 355 runs.

Rohit has played 255 matches in international cricket since 14 September 2016 till now (12 August). There have been 41 Tests, 117 ODIs and 97 T20 matches. During this period, Rohit scored a total of 35 centuries in international cricket and his best score was also 212 runs.
