Kirti Azad accused of corruption

Kirti Azad was a member of India’s 1983 World Cup winning team and is currently a Trinamool MP from Bardhaman Durgapur constituency in West Bengal. He had accused the DDCA of corruption. He claimed that the DDCA spent Rs 17.5 crore on installing floodlights, while only Rs 75 crore was spent on installing floodlights at the much larger Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He also claimed that the DDCA government spent only a small portion of the Rs 140 crore received by BCCI last year.
