Rishi Kapoor’s unfiltered reaction to Ranbir’s film: ‘It will fail’

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ananth Mahadevan talks about Rishi Kapoor openly criticizing his son Ranbir Kapoor ) to act in a film. Without revealing the name of the film or director, Mahadevan recalled visiting Rishi at his residence when the veteran actor expressed dismay over Ranbir’s decision. “He kept saying that he tried his best to dissuade Ranbir from doing that film. I told him, ‘Don’t do it, the film won’t come out,'” Mahadevan shared. Ranbir went ahead with the project despite his warnings.

Mahadevan further added that Rishi Kapoor would not hesitate to tell the filmmakers directly if he thought their film would fail. “That’s just the way he is.
