The Indian cricket team arrived there in the absence of captain Rohit Sharma for the five-match Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia. The first match of the series will be played at the Perth Stadium from November 22, and the players of the Indian team are undergoing intense training in the local nets in Perth. Meanwhile, BCCI also shared a practice video in which an altercation can be seen between vice-captain Rishabh Pant and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. In fact, when Bumrah came to the Nets for batting practice, Rishabh Pant handed over the bowling responsibilities to him with a condition to get him out.
Keep your one wicket in order
In a video shared by the BCCI on social media, Rishabh Pant took on the responsibility of bowling to Jasprit Bumrah in the nets, in which before bowling, Pant told Bumrah that his name has a wicket in first-class cricket. To this, Bumla did not hesitate to respond and said that your wicket must be decorated. During this time, India’s bowler Moeen Morkel was also present. When Pant passed the first ball to Bumrah in the nets, he hit it towards the leg side. After this, Bumrah played a pull on Pant’s next ball and Pant said the ball goes straight into the fielder’s hands and you are out. To this, Bumrah said it will be four to two rounds. At the same time, he also declared Pant’s bowling action illegal.
Bumrah could captain in first Test match
Regarding Rohit Sharma’s captaincy for the first Test match against Australia in Perth, it has not yet been confirmed as he is yet to be contacted by the team. In this case, Jasprit Bumrah can take on the responsibility of captaincy. In this situation, a huge responsibility will be placed on Bumrah’s shoulders as it is not an easy task for the captain of any team to fulfill this responsibility against Australia. However, Bumrah has impressed everyone with his bowling performance in the past two tours of Australia and he can play a big role this time too.
