Rhetoric covering up ancestral sins… Savarkar’s grandson targets Rahul Gandhi

Savarkar’s grandson targets Rahul Gandhi.

Veer Savarkar’s grandson Ranjit Savarkar has launched a blistering attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He accused Rahul Gandhi of lying and repeatedly using Savarkar’s name in politics. Ranjit Savarkar said Rahul Gandhi was making statements on Savarkar to cover up the sins of his ancestors and engage in Muslim vote bank politics. Ranjit Savarkar said Rahul Gandhi’s statement in Parliament was false and misleading.

Not only this, he also asked Rahul Gandhi to say the same on a public platform so that legal action can be taken against him. “There is no telling in which gutter Rahul Gandhi found the newspaper he read,” he said. He called Rahul Gandhi’s comments on Savarkar reprehensible and said all this was done to cover up The crimes committed by his ancestors, especially Nehru.

Emphasis on the Thoughts of Veer Savarkar

Ranjit Savarkar said Veer Savarkar had full faith in the constitution and democracy. He drafted a draft in 1945 which stated that the country should be governed without any discrimination. Here, religion is treated as a private matter and people are called upon to practice it in their respective homes. Ranjit Savarkar attacked Gandhi and Nehru calling them anti-constitutional and the Congress was the most anti-constitutional party.

Shiv Sena (UBT) also under siege

Ranjit Savarkar surrounded the Shiv Sena (UBT) and raised many questions. He said Uddhav Thackeray’s party was straying away from Savarkar’s ideas. He claimed that the Shiv Sena MP who earlier supported Savarkar is now missing. He said Uddhav Thackeray’s political downfall was because his party abandoned the ideas of Balasaheb Thackeray.

Accusations of Muslim vote-bank politics

Ranjit Savarkar claimed that Rahul Gandhi was practicing Muslim vote bank politics by repeatedly making statements about Savarkar. He said those who believed in Savarkar should consider their compulsion on the Congress. He also targeted the Shiv Sena Party (UBT), calling it a conspiracy and said parties that do not respect Savarkar’s ideas must be held accountable to the public.

What did Rahul say to Savarkar in Parliament?

During the debate on the Constitution in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi targeted the central government as well as Veer Savarkar. He described Savarkar as an apology hero and said Savarkar was about to compromise and apologize to the British. Rahul said Savarkar believed in Manusmriti, which was against the constitution. Talking about Indira Gandhi, he said Savarkar did not see Indianness in the Constitution. The remarks caused an uproar in the House of Representatives, with members of Congress appearing delighted.
