Dubai: Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday highlighted cooperation between India and the UAE in areas such as fintech, renewable energy, infrastructure and defence, saying relations between the two countries have reached new heights. Speaking at the inauguration of the Symbiosis International (deemed university) campus, Jaishankar emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first visit to the UAE in 2015 marked a new beginning in bilateral relations between the two countries.

“Today, the relationship between India and the UAE has truly entered a new era. Just as Prime Minister Modi made a historic visit in 2015, the first in this century, our comprehensive economic partnership is also at a historic level,” Jaishankar said. The opening of the Symbiosis Campus in Dubai is part of a wider trend that reflects growing educational and cultural exchanges between India and the UAE.
‘India needs to be prepared’
“India needs to be ready for today’s global workplace,” the external affairs minister said. “At the same time, it must be ready for the chip era, ‘electric vehicles’, clean and green technologies, renewable energy, space and roads.” “Jaishan said that India must manage the development of these possibilities by making it environment-friendly and market-friendly. He said quality education will give us the special ability to keep pace with the world and develop our national prospects.
