Redmi Watch 5 Lite with 1.96-inch display to launch in India on this date

Xiaomi sub-brand on Thursday announced that the Redmi Watch 5 Lite will be available in India next week. The upcoming smartwatch is expected to feature a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen and Bluetooth calling functionality that will allow wearers to make and receive voice calls directly from their wrist. The Redmi Watch 5 Lite will offer 5ATM water resistance and support Alexa. The wearable is said to offer up to 18 days of battery life on a single charge. The launch of the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes nearly a month after the Redmi Watch 5 Active made its debut in India.

Redmi Watch 5 Lite will be released on September 25

Redmi India has confirmed through an X post that the Redmi Watch 5 Lite will be launched on September 25 at 12:00 PM IST. The brand has set up a landing page for the upcoming wearable on its Indian website, showcasing its key specifications and design. It comes in black and beige strap options and comes with a square display.

According to the listing, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen and has a built-in GPS for precise location tracking. It is said to be 5ATM water resistant. It has Bluetooth calling support, allowing users to make and receive calls directly from their wrist.

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite will run on Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface and support voice commands through the Alexa assistant. It is said to offer up to 18 days of battery life on a single charge. It can also be used to track blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) rate and heart rate.

The Xiaomi sub-brand launched the Redmi Watch 5 Active in August with a price tag of Rs 2,799. It is available in Matte Silver and Midnight Black colour options.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active is IPX8-rated for water resistance and has a 2-inch display. It supports Bluetooth calling and offers over 200 watch faces. It also runs on HyperOS and is claimed to offer up to 18 days of battery life.
