New Delhi/Jammu, September 27The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday launched searches at various locations in Rajouri and Reasi districts in connection with a bus carrying pilgrims returning from the Shiv Khori temple in June, officials said as part of an investigation into the deadly terrorist attack that occurred.

The NIA is conducting searches at seven locations in Jammu and Kashmir, they said.

On June 9, terrorists opened fire on a bus, killing nine people, including seven pilgrims from outside Jammu and Kashmir, and injuring 41 others. The bus, which was on its way to Katra from Shiv Khori temple, veered off the road after coming under heavy attack. He was shot and fell into a deep ravine near the village of Trias in the Puni region of Resi province.

The dead also included a two-year-old boy from Rajasthan and a 14-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh.

On June 17, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) handed over the terror attack case to the National Intelligence Agency.

A man named Hakam Khan of Rajouri, who allegedly provided food, shelter and logistics services to the terrorists besides helping them survey the area before the attack, has been charged. arrested in connection with the case.

Officials said that multiple teams of the National Intelligence Agency are conducting searches in Rajouri and Raisi areas in connection with the Shivkoli terror attack case since this morning.

They said the search is ongoing and further details are awaited.

On June 30, the NIA also conducted searches at five locations in Rajouri related to hybrid terrorists and their underground workers.
