MD Sher Ali Jafri of Khusro College in Bareilly, UP and his son were arrested by SIT and sent to jail for fraud worth crores of rupees. Both were accused of playing with the future of students by giving fake degrees of D-Pharma and other courses. Also, they committed fraud worth crores of rupees.
379 students were given admission in D-Pharma, B-Pharma, Paramedical in Khusro College from 2019 to 2023. When the students went to work after completing the course, they found out that the degree given to them by the college was completely fake.
After the truth came out, the victim students lodged an FIR in this case at CBganj police station. In this, the college MD Sher Ali Jafri, CBganj resident Vishwanath Sharma, Shanti Vihar resident Vijay Sharma and Sher Ali Jafri’s son Firoz Ali Jafri were named.
It is being told that Sher Ali Jafri, associated with the ruling party, was roaming around with a government gunner till a week ago. After an FIR of fraud was registered, the gunner was returned. The report of the case went to the government. The SIT was investigating the case under the leadership of SP South Manush Pareek.
The SIT team arrested Sher Ali and his son Firoz last Wednesday. In the fake degree game, fake degrees and mark sheets worth about Rs 4 crore were distributed.
During the press conference organized on the disclosure of the incident, SP Southern Manush Pareek said that after the complaint, when the matter was investigated, it was revealed that about 379 students were given admission in D-Pharma and Paramedical from 2019 to 2023. A scam of about Rs 4.75 crore was done in this whole game.
Degrees of paramedical courses of institutes in other states were distributed to the students here, which were completely fake. When the students went to work after completing the course and showed their degrees, it was found that the degrees given by Khusro College were completely fake.
After the truth came out, the victim students lodged an FIR in this case at CBganj police station. Taking action on this, the police registered a case against the college chairman Sher Ali Jafri and Vishwanath Sharma, Vijay Sharma associated with the college and Firoz Ali Jafri, son of the college manager. Now the college principal and other people will also be taken to task.
The SP said that action will be taken against all those who are involved in playing with the future of the students. The police team is continuously searching for the accused. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
