The three-star hotel ‘Harmony Inn’ in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh is making headlines. Last Monday, police raided the hotel and caught them illegally operating a casino. Eight people, including hotel owner Naveen Arora, were arrested on the spot. Naveen Arora also served as the district executive of the BJP in the past. Currently, the police are looking for links to the casino operating in their hotel. There are new revelations in this case. So far, 15 people have been charged.
At present, according to preliminary investigation, the gaming tables, casino coins, etc. found in the Meerut hotel are likely to have been brought in from Goa and Gurgaon. Because some people are from there. If sources are to be believed, the casino equipment was brought to the hotel about 15 days ago and has since been made public. Conversations and bookings are done via WhatsApp calls.
It is understood that police are busy searching and identifying all those who came here due to the casino operated by the “Harmony Inn” hotel. Based on CCTV, around 30 to 50 people have been identified. A number of names and mobile phone numbers were also discovered from the hotel’s register.
In this regard, Meerut SP Municipal Ayush Vikram said that preparations are being made to issue notices to everyone. In addition, these persons will be summoned for questioning. At the same time, relevant departments will soon launch an investigation into the police report against the hotel.
It is understood that the police received information that a casino was operating in the three-star hotel “Harmony Inn” in Meerut and formed a team of three policemen to conduct a raid on the casino on Monday night. Eight people including hotel owner Naveen Arora were arrested on the spot. The girls were invited to the casino, where they were being served drinks and huge bets were being placed on the gaming table in front of them. Currently, the casino operating location (the first floor of the hotel) has been sealed off by the police.
