What is the Chief of Naval Staff’s comment on China’s increasing intervention in the Indian Ocean?
Recently, the Navy tested a missile capable of carrying long-range nuclear weapons from the aircraft carrier INS Aligate. Regarding this test, the Chief of Naval Staff said that the test was successful. Experts have studied the missile’s trajectory and we will have a report soon.
Regarding China’s increasing interference in the Indian Ocean, the Chief of Naval Staff said that we are paying close attention to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy and the navies of other neighboring countries. We also have information on where their warships and research vessels currently are and what they are doing. We know that China has the ambition to become a superpower and is moving along this path, but our efforts are that the increase in China’s strength will not affect our interests in the Indian Ocean.
