Rajendra Nagar Coaching Academy case: Delhi High Court issued notice on a petition seeking replacement of the CBI investigating officer in the case related to the death of three students of Rajendra Nagar Coaching Academy. The High Court has sought a reply from the CBI in the matter and the next hearing in the case will be held on November 27.

The Delhi High Court dismissed a petition seeking to stop the CBI from filing a chargesheet. The high court said the petition to stop the CBI from filing a charge sheet went beyond the ambit of the law. The court cannot issue such an order. Notably, the father of the deceased student has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court stating that the CBI has not arrested or interrogated any MCD official while investigating the case.

Coaching boss granted bail from Louth Avenue Court

In the coaching center accident case, the Delilaos Avenue Court granted interim bail to the owner of the coaching center on September 23. Apart from the coaching centre, the court also granted interim bail to Abhishek Gupta, CEO and Deshpal Singh, coordinator of RAU’s IAS coaching centre.

A Delhi court has directed the CEO and coordinator of the coaching center to grant interim bail on furnishing a bond of Rs 1 lakh and two sureties of equal amount. The court has granted temporary bail to the two men until December 7.

HC has granted interim bail to four co-honourees

Earlier, the Delhi High Court also approved four basement co-owners Parvinder Singh, Tajinder Singh, Harvinder Singh and Sa Interim bail for Sabarjeet Singh. Let us inform you that on the evening of July 27, 2024, after rains in Delhi, due to water accumulation in the basement of RAU’S IAS Coaching Center at Old Rajendra Nagar, two female students, Shreya Yadav, 25, a resident of Uttar Pradesh Tanya Soni, a resident of Telangana, and Nevin Delvin, a 24-year-old resident of Kerala, drowned. The trainer was accused of running a library out of his basement.

After this incident, the Delhi Municipal Corporation took action and sealed 200 coaching centers for violating building regulations. These coaching centers hold classes underground or use them for work without permission. During the investigative exercise, the MCD took inventory of many things, especially in the basement of the coaching centre. If any activity is detected during this period, the basement will be cordoned off.
