The campaign in Maharashtra is at an interesting phase right now. A fierce war of words is taking place. Yogi Adityanath held rallies in Amravati, Akola and Nagpur on Tuesday and responded to Congress president Malikajun Haq. Haq has said that if a yogi has to raise slogans like “Bantenge to Katenge”, then he should take off his saffron robe.
To this, Yogi said that saffron is Sanatan’s identity, he is Yogi and he is telling the truth, that’s why he reminded Haggar of the history. Haq’s family was burned to death by the Nizam’s Razakar during the 1946 riots as Hindus were divided into castes. Yogi said Kharge concealed the tragedy that befell his family in the name of votes, but spoke out about the need to remain united because if we are divided, we will be divided.
Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement was made by Yogi while addressing Congress workers at Tartora Stadium in Delhi on August 17 last year. Hager recounted how his house burned down during the 1946 riots, and his mother, sister, brother, and uncle were all brutally burned. Hager was still a child at the time. His father somehow rescued him and fled the village, later settling in Gulbarga in Karnataka. But while telling this, Hager did not mention who was behind these riots?
In fact, the Razakars of the then Nizam of Hyderabad were behind these riots in 1946-1947. Yogi caught this thing. What Yogi said meant that Kharge deliberately did not mention the Razakars of the Nizam because the Congress party was worried about Muslim votes. A BJP leader commented that Haq’s family members were killed by Nizam’s Jihadi Razakar and he called Hindus terrorists. What kind of secularism is this? There is a lot of discussion about this political strategy in the Maharashtra elections.
Yogi told the Akola rally that Kharg was feeling unnecessary anger against him. He was a yogi and for a yogi the country was the most important but for the Congress leader appeasement was the most important. That’s why Hager is afraid to tell the truth about what he himself is facing. As Haq attacked Yogi for three consecutive days, he compared Yogi to a terrorist, saying that Yogi wears saffron robes, engages in divisive politics and spreads hatred between Hindus and Muslims, so he is called “unsaffron clad” right”. . Yogi Adityanath settled the account within three days. Yogi’s statement about Haq’s family is not wrong as Haq himself has publicly stated on many occasions that his family was burnt by Nizam’s Razakar during the Hyderabad riots.
As a result of Haq’s statement, saffron was mentioned in the Maharashtra elections. To be sure, Yogi’s slogan is popular. Sadhus and saints now openly support Yogis. Whatever Yogi says is true, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya said on Tuesday. Saffron growers have been telling the truth to society and showing the right path, so it is better that we don’t talk about the saffron issue. Haq has said it would be better if those wearing saffron stayed away from politics. Reacting to this, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya said that if people wearing saffron take up politics, then politics will be better, otherwise there will be gathering of criminal elements. (Rajat Sharma)
