The hearing in the Senior Teacher Recruitment Document Leak case is underway at the Special Court for Education Department Cases in Jaipur. The Special Operations Group (SOG) has filed charges against 47 more accused in this case. The chargesheet was filed based on a case registered in 2022 at the Beccaria police station in Udaipur. Previously, SOG also filed charges against 18 other defendants in the case.
According to SOG ADG VK Singh, two different FIRs were registered in the senior teachers recruitment document leak case – one at Suker police station and the other at Beccaria police station. In a case registered at the Sooke police station, police seized a bus in which candidates who were beneficiaries of leaked documents were seated. The arrested candidates were later released on court bail. Now, investigating officer Prakashchandra Sharma has filed a chargesheet against them in court.
Bhanwar Singh Chauhan, the special prosecutor in the case, said the Education Department has also taken action to investigate money laundering in the document leak case. Accordingly, both the cases have been transferred from the Udaipur court to the special court for ED cases. Currently, two cases related to leakage and money laundering cases will continue to be heard in this court so that strict action can be taken against the accused.
Suresh Dhaka declared fugitive
Many accused including notorious newspaper mafia Suresh Dhaka are still absconding in the case. The courts have declared him a fugitive and advertisements will now be issued against him to ensure his arrest as soon as possible. Regarding Suresh Dhaka, the home ministry has started offering reward to anyone who can reveal Suresh Dhaka’s address. Suresh is believed to have fled Nepal to Thailand. His gang was caught leaking question papers in Sukh, Udaipur during the second year teacher examination and he absconded. So far, Rajasthan has registered papers leak cases against Suresh Dhaka in over a dozen exams.
