A man strangled his wife to death and then hanged himself in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district. Police investigation revealed that the couple used to have frequent quarrels. But the police are probing the reason behind this gruesome act.
The sensational incident took place in the jurisdiction of Sultana police station in Jhunjhunu district. Giving information about the incident, SHO Bhagwan Ram of Sultana police station said that Rajesh Kumar, 30, and Manju, 28, got married a few years ago. But there were quarrels between the two every day.
The SHO further revealed that both of them had moved to the rented house only three days ago. But what happened on Sunday was that Rajesh Kumar strangled his wife Manju with a rope. The incident did not end here. Thereafter, Rajesh himself hanged himself.
Inspector Bhagwan Ram further said that the matter came to light when Manju’s brother came to their house. He found the room locked from inside. After knocking on the door several times and no one responded, he lodged a police report. When the police reached the spot, the door was opened.
The police found the body of Rajesh Kumar hanging in the room while his wife was lying on the floor. Both were immediately rushed to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. After this, both the bodies were sent for postmortem. Now the police are investigating the entire incident.
