MNS candidates occupy 25 out of 36 seats
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has fielded candidates in 25 of the 36 assembly seats in Mumbai. Raj Thackeray supported Mahayuthy in the Lok Sabha elections but said he would field as many candidates as possible in the Assembly elections. There is unease within the grand alliance as the MNS fields candidates in 25 seats in Mumbai. There will be a fight between MNS and Mahayuti on all these seats. Of the 25 seats, the BJP is contesting in 17 seats and the Sindhi Shiv Sena is contesting in 16 seats.
Mahim and Worli’s Triangular Race
Mahim and Worli assembly constituencies are set to be one of the high-voltage constituencies in this year’s Mumbai assembly elections. Because there will be competition between MNS, Shinde Group and Thackeray Group in the Mahim and Worli assembly elections. MNS has fielded Amit Thackeray as its candidate from Mahim constituency. He was contested by Mahesh Sawant of the Thackeray faction and Sardar Savankar of the Sindhi faction.
Meanwhile, Aditya Thackeray from the Thackeray Group also bagged the Worli Assembly seat. Milind Deora from Shinde Group and Sandeep Deshpande from MNS have emerged as candidates to contest against him. Therefore, there will be a triangular contest between these two assembly constituencies.
