After the frequent incidents of placing stones, explosives and cylinders on the railway track, the Railway Ministry has started a new initiative. The railway will now install cameras in the engine and coaches. Cameras will be installed in front and side of the engine. Apart from this, cameras will also be installed on the side of the coach and in the guard coach. A total of 8 cameras will be installed in a train. The track and all around the track can be monitored through the cameras. These cameras will start being installed in three months and will be fully implemented in 1 year. The total cost of this project will be 1200 crores. The Railway Ministry has also spoken to the Chief Secretary and DGP of all the states regarding the placing of stones and cylinders on the railway track and has asked to control it soon.

To ensure the safety of passengers amid frequent rail accidents, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Center has taken a big decision and said that the security system of railway tracks will be strengthened. He said that Indian Railways will now install AI-powered CCTV cameras in trains. Apart from the coaches, cameras will also be installed in the locomotive engine to alert the loco pilot.

Ashwini Vaishnav said on Tuesday that these cameras will detect suspicious objects on the tracks and alert drivers to apply emergency brakes. According to the Railway Minister, Indian Railways is planning to equip 40,000 coaches, 14,000 engines and 6,000 EMUs with AI-powered CCTV cameras.

18 such incidents in 40 days
It is worth noting that there is a big conspiracy going on to overturn trains on railway tracks. In the last 40 days, 18 such incidents have come to light, when gas cylinders, bicycles, stones and iron rods were found on railway tracks. This danger is also big because most of the population of the country prefers to travel by train to make their journey easier. In such a situation, the question arises that who is planning lone wolf attacks on trains.

It is not that such incidents of finding such things on railway tracks have happened only in some particular cities or states. Rather, such incidents are being seen everywhere from Uttar Pradesh to Odisha and from Telangana to Madhya Pradesh.
