Rahul insisted on being careful, not taking permission from the government, he said – it was a violation of privileges

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi was determined to go to Sambhar, but he did not get permission from the government. After being stopped at the Gazipur border, he said he was ready to go to Sambhar alone with the police, but the police did not allow him to do so. The Congress leader also said that preventing him from traveling to Sambhar was a violation of his prerogatives as leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.

my rights as an opposition

After traveling to Sambhar, police intercepted him at Delhi’s Ghazipur border. When stopped by the police, Rahul told reporters, “We tried to be careful but the police refused. As leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, it was my right to go there.” But he still stopped me. This goes against my rights as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. “I already said I was going to go alone,” he said. I was ready to go with the police but they didn’t agree and now they say they will let us go in a few days.

The government is taking away my constitutional rights.

Showing a copy of the constitution, Rahul said: “This (blocking travel to Sambal) is against democracy. “We want to take a closer look and see what is happening there. We wanted to see people, but my constitutional rights were being taken away. This is India that is destroying the Constitution. India is destroying Ambedkar Ji’s constitution. But we will keep fighting. His sister, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who was present with Rahul, also expressed displeasure at being stopped and said, “Whatever happened in Sambhar” All wrong. “Rahulji is the leader of the opposition. They have constitutional privileges unlike others. They cannot be stopped.”

Stop at Delhi-Gazipur border

Rahul Gandhi was intercepted at the Delhi-Gazipur border on Wednesday as he was heading to Sambhar town to meet the families of the victims. A senior police officer said Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka and other senior leaders have reached the Ghazipur border. His convoy was stopped by roadblocks. A heavy police presence has been deployed at the scene. Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra said that in order to maintain peace in Sambal, Section 163 (prohibitory order) of the Indian Civil Defense Act will remain in force in Sambal until December 31 day. Meanwhile, the ban on entry of foreigners in Sambhal will end on Saturday and the district magistrate has extended the ban till December 10.

Violence leaves four dead

A Congress delegation led by Rahul Gandhi set out to visit violence-hit Sambhar. The Sambhal court on November 19 ordered an inquiry into the Mughal-era Jama Masjid in the city’s Kot East area and a team conducted an inquiry there on the same day. Since then, controversy has arisen. Afterwards, on November 24, violence broke out during the investigation, resulting in the deaths of four people. The court has ordered an inquiry into a petition claiming that the site where Jama Masjid is located was once the site of Harihar Temple. (input language)
