Rahul Gandhi prepares for Sambhar trip, police says Section 163 applies, notice will be issued if he comes

Lucknow: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is gearing up to visit Sambhar on Wednesday along with Congress MPs from Uttar Pradesh. The information was revealed on Tuesday by the party’s national president Ajay Rai, who said party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi could also accompany Rahul on the visit. Meanwhile, Sambhal DM Rajendra Pensia has written a letter to police in neighboring districts urging them to stop Rahul Gandhi at district borders.

Reacting to the release of the DM letter, state Congress president Ajay Rai said it was a murder of democracy and an open abuse of the police system. Rai said party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi could also visit Sambhar along with Rahul. He said, “All six party MPs from Uttar Pradesh will join the delegation led by Rahul Gandhi. Party general secretary and state in-charge Avinash Pandey will also accompany the delegation. The state Congress president said , he wouldn’t mind Rahul either. When asked if Priyanka Gandhi, the party’s MP from Wayanad in Kerala, would also accompany her brother, Rai said she could go too.

Sambhal implements Article 163 till December 10

Meanwhile, Sambhal DM Pensia on Tuesday wrote to the police chiefs of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad as well as Amroha and Bulandshahr. Bulandshahr district police chiefs urged them to stop Rahul Gandhi at the borders of their respective districts. The ban on outsiders entering Sambhal was to end on Saturday, but Pensia has extended the ban till December 10. Meanwhile, the DM said that in order to maintain peace and order, BNSS Section 163 (prohibition order) will remain in force in the area until December 31. “As of December 10, no outsiders, social organizations or public representatives are allowed to enter the area without permission from the competent authorities,” Pensia said.

The temple claims the status of a mosque

Let us tell you that on November 24, violence broke out during an investigation into the Mughal-era mosque on orders of the Sambhar court. The incident resulted in four deaths and many injuries. In a suit filed in court, it was alleged that there was once a Harihar temple in place of the mosque.
