Congress leader and former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi and his sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reached Kerala today where they are visiting various relief camps set up in landslide affected areas of Wayanad district and meeting the affected families. Here, four villages have been completely destroyed due to landslides and so far 256 people have died.
Gandhi had won the election from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 and this year he won from here again. He has also won the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, hence he has left the Wayanad constituency. Priyanka Gandhi is expected to contest the by-election on this seat.
