The second-quarter earnings season has begun, with as many as 392 companies expected to report results this week. Notable companies include Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Suzlon Energy, L&T, Dabur India, Adani Ports, Cipla and Sun Pharma, among others.
Analysts expect Indian companies to report a weak second quarter, possibly recording their slowest growth in more than four years, with Nifty earnings expected to edge up only 2% year-on-year.
