Pune Porsche Case: Minor accused learned to drive, got 15 days training in RTO on court orders

The driving course of the minor accused of killing two people after crashing his Porsche car into a motorcycle while intoxicated on May 19 this year in Pune, Maharashtra has completed his driving course. According to PTI-language report, as per the court order, he had to undergo a 15-day safe driving program. An RTO official gave information about this on Sunday. In this incident that took place in Kalyani Nagar, Pune, a young man and a girl hailing from Madhya Pradesh had died. Both were IT professionals and worked in a Pune company.

The Juvenile Justice Board had granted bail to the minor accused who caused the death of two people on the condition of writing an essay on road safety, due to which there was widespread outrage across the country. Also, the family members of the minor had misused their influence and influential contacts to hide the crime. On the request of the family members of the minor accused, two doctors and a staff of Sassoon Hospital had changed the blood sample of the minor accused from that of his mother, so that the fact of drinking and driving could be hidden.

The accused was granted bail on the condition of writing an essay.

The conditions on which the Juvenile Justice Board granted bail to the minor accused included writing a 300-word essay on road accidents and taking help from the RTO to learn about traffic rules and regulations. An RTO official told PTI, ‘The minor accused has completed his safe driving program. With respect to the court’s guidelines, the operation was kept secret as it could have created privacy issues.’

The official said, ‘The training program included information about road driving safety, importance of driving license, meaning of road signages and symbols and other activities. During this process, the minor accused was also taken for on-field training. Other officials said that the minor has already submitted an essay of 300 words. Let us tell you that in this hit and run case, the father, grandfather, mother of the minor accused, two doctors and one staff of Sassoon Hospital and two middlemen have been arrested.

Police has filed charge sheet in Pune Porsche case

In this case, after about two months of investigation, the police had filed a 900-page charge sheet on July 23. The name of the 17 year old minor accused was not included in the charge sheet filed in the sessions court. The case of the minor is before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). At the same time, charges have been filed against 7 accused under sections related to criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence. These include the parents of the minor, two doctors and an employee of Sassoon General Hospital and two middlemen.
